Ergomotion's newly created Rio program delivers short lead times and gives retailers the ability to customize an adjustable bed base lineup.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Sleep technology company Ergomotion has unveiled a new adjustable bed base program that offers retailers a private-label lineup sourced out of Mexico to expedite lead times.

The Rio program features six models ranging from the minimal head-up only design to a full-feature option that includes head and foot articulation, lumbar, self-head tilt, wireless remote, zero-gravity present and more.

Manufactured in the company’s 250,000-square-foot facility in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, nine miles from El Paso, Texas, the company said it designed the program to help alleviate the pinch points of supply chain disruption. Ergomotion is also stocking product in its warehouse in Santa Teresa, N.M. The company opened both facilities in 2021.

“People are accustomed to conveniences, but when the supply chain is disrupted during global events like pandemics, it creates uncertain times for businesses and consumers alike,” said Johnny Griggs, chief operating officer at Ergomotion. “Ergomotion is continually looking for ways to not only innovate our products, but also make them more accessible, convenient, and reasonably priced for partners.

“With North American production and (vendor managed inventory) in New Mexico, the Rio line empowers our customers to better mitigate risk and lead time complexity to prevent stockouts.”

The product line, which allows retailers to brand the bases and remotes as they want for a customized merchandising approach, is priced to retail from $499 to $1,999 in queen and has a four-to-five day turnaround for retailers in the U.S. Each of the adjustable bed passes is common courier friendly, except for king sizes.
